Personal Information Governance
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This page sums up, in plain terms, our policies and practices for handling personal information, from the moment we collect it until it is destroyed. Our privacy policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it.
Person in charge
Mon Sous-Chef is operated by Guillaume Plante, a sole proprietorship. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Guillaume Plante. You can reach them at contact@monsouschef.ca.
Roles and access
Today only the operator has access to personal information, and only when needed for support, security or reviewing the food catalogue. Before giving access to anyone else, we will have them sign a written confidentiality undertaking, explain these practices to them and limit their access to what their task requires.
Keeping and destruction
We keep information only as long as the purposes for which it was collected require, or as long as the law requires. Every period is listed in the "How long we keep it" section of our privacy policy. Automated tasks delete information once its period ends. Destruction is permanent: the information is deleted from our database and storage, then disappears from our backups within 35 days.
Providers
We entrust information to a provider only under a written contract that requires it to protect the information, to use it only to provide its service to us and not to keep it once the contract ends. Before communicating information outside Québec, we conduct a privacy impact assessment.
New projects
Before putting in place a new system or feature that handles personal information, we assess its privacy impact, consulting the person in charge from the start.
Confidentiality incidents
We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. When an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned.
Requests and complaints
To access your information, have it corrected, get a copy or withdraw your consent, see the "Your rights" section of our privacy policy.
To complain about how we handle your personal information, write to the person in charge at contact@monsouschef.ca. We look into your complaint and reply in writing within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Review
We review these practices at least once a year.
